What Is Spiritual Direction?
This centuries-old practice means having conversations together which allow you to remember your soul self. It’s having someone pay attention to your life with you and help you find your way. To look at how God is present in your life, even as you bring yourself into your way forward; strengths and weaknesses, new capacities and old patterns of being. In my practice, we meet for an hour every month (can also be done long distance) to have an opportunity together to become still, to remember, to reflect. The conversation touches on the deeper things that support our lives. We often talk about spiritual practices and how those are being observed. At times we might participate in types of prayer or reading of scripture.
